As you know the Flying W Ranch was destroyed in 2012 by the Waldo Canyon Fire, but they have been working to rebuild this iconic symbol of Colorado Springs.

The Pikes Peak Water Garden Society is going the help restore the Flying W Ranch by donating and planting hardy water plants in their new pond.

We are accepting donations of HARDY plants from now thru September 12th 2020 at Bob Oatman's house.  Any HARDY plants such as lilies, iris, rush, grasses, etc are welcome.  We will then be placing them in their pond on September 13th.  If you would like to join us at the Flying W, you can just bring your plants then.  Bare-root plants are fine, as we will be taking any potted plants out of their pots and planting them directly in the pond soil.  Please do not trim the plants back as it would be nice to have an immediate greening impact.

Many of you have been to the Flying W and it would be wonderful if the Pikes Peak Water Garden Society could help bring this ranch back to life.

Contact Bob Oatman (719 465-6731) if you have plants to donate or would like to join us for an afternoon at the Flying W Ranch.
